Lithofin AFH Grouting Aid is a professional specialist product for tiles, natural stone, and engineered stone. This water-based solution forms a washable protective layer (sacrificial layer) on the surface and reliably prevents grout pigments from penetrating.

👉 Especially recommended for crackle (craquelé) tiles, as these are highly absorbent and prone to staining from grout without protection.

🔹 How It Works

The product forms a uniform protective film on the surface, acting as a sacrificial layer:

• Pores and fine cracks are temporarily sealed
  
• Grout pigments cannot penetrate
  
• Surface becomes more resistant
  
• Fully removable after application
  

🔹 Application Instructions

• Surface must be clean, dry, and dust-free
  
• Apply product undiluted by spraying and spreading evenly
  
• Allow to dry for approx. 30 minutes, then apply a second coat (crosswise)
  
• After approx. 60 minutes, grouting can begin
  

👉 Important for crackle tiles:
Always apply before grouting to prevent grout from penetrating the fine cracks.

After grouting:

• Clean with Lithofin MN Deep Cleaner (diluted 1:3)
  
• Allow to act, scrub, and rinse thoroughly
  

💡 Important: Do not walk on the surface during drying
